The Frances Riker Davis Award was created in 1967 to honor Brearley alumnae for dedicated service to the public good, professionally or through volunteer work. The awardees saw an unmet need and created a solution that had significant impact on the lives of others. This is not a lifetime achievement award but rather an award for creativity in public service.
